BACKGROUND
Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) was founded in 1837 with the purpose of helping businesses and Singapore thrive. Its diverse membership creates an inclusive, silo-free ecosystem where members connect, collaborate, engage, learn, share and succeed together. The Chamber showcases a balanced mix of members, with 50% being Singaporean-owned businesses and 50% foreign-owned. Additionally, half of the members are large organisations, including multinationals, while the other half comprises medium-sized, small, and start-up companies from various sectors of the economy.
The SICC ecosystem actively promotes anti-ageism in both the workforce and society to foster commercial and social success. The Chamber also advocates for a positive workplace culture where employers and employees co-create and sustain workplaces in which both foreign and local talent can be integrated, developed, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
APPROACH
An efficient registration solution
Before implementing Cvent, SICC relied on a manual registration process. Members had to email their registration requests, and the administrative team would create invoices and handle payments individually. This process was time-consuming and prone to errors.
Evelyn Yeo, the Senior Manager for Marketing and Events at SICC, explains, "Previously, our admin exec had to manually register attendees and send invoices. It was a lot of back-and-forth communication, and we needed a more efficient system."
In 2019, SICC adopted Cvent's registration solution to automate and streamline their event registration process. The key features that attracted SICC to Cvent included:
